In Week 2 of the Heritage Digital Campus we move on to all the processes that lead up to the capturing and describing stages which are fundamental to building a digital archive well – scoping, screening, selecting and preparing. Then we move on to the processes that follow on from the capturing and describing stage. These stages are about sustaining a digital archive – loading, storing, accessing and using. This week will suit participants needing an overview of the digitisation process, such as senior managers in museums and archives or those with overall responsibility for the direction of your organisation as far as digital archiving is concerned.
